In case you or someone you know is looking for a job opportunity, there are plenty of them in the Jobs section of our group. Currently there are 178 listed under "jobs" and 35 listed under "job discussions."
Okay, so you might be asking what's the difference between "jobs" and "job discussions?" I'm glad you asked!
LinkedUp Grand Rapids (all groups on LinkedIn have this) has two sections on the Jobs tab that show job opportunities. Go to your group, click Jobs, and then select Jobs or Jobs Discussions on the left.
The Jobs section:
Only shows jobs posted in LinkedIn Jobs.
Is automatically populated by a jobs feed set up by the group manager.
The Jobs Discussions section:
Allows group members to share and discuss job opportunities from sources outside LinkedIn Jobs.
Jobs discussions are automatically removed after 14 days. You can also click Search All Jobs to search through all postings in LinkedIn Jobs.
I hope that helps. And, all the best to you in your career pursuits. Don't forget to get your profile to 100% including at least three (3) recommendations. Employers are using LinkedIn. You want to make sure your profile is in tip top shape to create the best possible impression.
And, if you're an employer, please post your openings in the jobs section of our group on LinkedIn. Thanks!
